There seems to be a lot of quality stuff being released for free on the net these days. Here are a few tunes that I have been feeling lately:

Consequence – Lost Attack

Consequence is an awesome up and coming Kiwi producer that is on fire at the moment. He is producing beautiful minimal, dark, melodic drum and bass and his tunes have featured on the awesome Autonomic podcast. Look out for a debut LP coming from Consequence on the mighty Exit Records. Big.

Data – H4CK

Data is another producer that is killing it right now producing dark, moody, melodic drum and bass. He has just released these three unsigned tunes as free downloads that he apparently put together in 2008. Expect big things from this producer in the coming year.

Or, you can download all three of these Data tunes in a nice convenient zip file.

La Roux – In for the Kill (Skream’s Let’s Get Ravey Remix)

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

La Roux seems to be blowing up big time at the moment, and this remix is absolutely huge. Skream takes to it and destroys it. This was released as a free download by NME. I have been thrashing this for a few months now, but it still comes out from time to time when I need a good sing along.

Lykke Li – Dance, Dance, Dance (Dada Life Remix)

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Surprise! It is not all drum and bass/dubstep. I am not usually one for big electro anthem biz, but this remix does something funny to me. I heard it a few months back on George FM, but only just tracked down the download. I am not sure if I should be embarrassed about liking this tune or not. There is just something so effortlessly cool about obscure Sweedish indie rocker Lykke Li’s vocal. Crank it before you head out tonight, it will put a smile on your dial.
