2009 has seen my musical taste broaden again after several years of sticking to a pretty solid diet of drum and bass and hip hop. One act that I have been really digging is Major Lazer.
I have been a big fan of Diplo (one half of Major Lazer along with Switch) and his super fun club sound for a while, and Major Lazer definitely has that in spades. Nothing too serious, just big party tunes with a dancehall vibe that get your head nodding.

Having heard a couple of their live sets I have no doubt Major Lazer is going to destroy the dance floor at Rhythm and Vines this new years eve down here in our lovely little country. I can’t wait to witness it.
