I stumbled across this video today and it made me smile. The guy behind it, J-Scott, relocated from Vancouver to Seattle and interviewed his new work mates about the sport he loves: ice hockey.

As a kid I always wanted to play (unfortunately we had no ice in Tauranga, New Zealand where I grew up), so watched a few of the Stanley Cup finals series and have a grasp of the rules. Luckily this means that I can now hold a conversation in the bar on game night here in Vancouver, where apparently everyone is a hockey fan.

My soon-to-be new home, Vancouver

Things have gotten awfully quiet around here lately, but there is a good reason for it. Felicity and I have been furiously planning and scheming about our forthcoming move to Vancouver.

It will probably come as no surprise to anyone that has talked to me since I came back from my 5 week adventure around BC last year. I fell in love with the country, the people, and the lifestyle up in Vancouver, so it seemed inevitable that I would be headed back at some point for an extended period. Luckily Felicity didn’t take much convincing that coming along for the ride was a good idea.

Having said that, I am really going to miss all my wonderful friends and family here in NZ. You guys all rock.

So I have been busy the past few weeks selling all my worldly possessions, and making sure I get out and enjoy my last few weeks here in my beloved home country.

I am off on June 19, and after a exploring the west coast of the US we will be setting ourselves up in Vancouver around a month after that. I can’t wait.

If you are based in Vancouver (or know someone who is) and you would considering hiring an experienced marketer who is particularly good at web/digital stuff from little old New Zealand I would love to hear from you.
